I'm reading that a the SE Compensator is a must for 09-10's.
Did they resolve the problems on the 11's, or should I get one for my 2011?
Thank you!
one of the problems that resulted in many to change their compensators is the crank bang grind at startup once the bike is warm problem. it looks like the Harley answer to this is both a compensator upgrade and the install of compression release begining 2012.
You should be able to tell if your '11 has a SE compensator if you listen to the engine start on a stock '09 or '10 model. It made a world of difference on my '09 Ultra Classic. It doesn't even sound like the same scoot on start up.
