A call to Rinehart would provide a quick answer. I notice in the bike magazines that they are advertising that at least one of their models do not require a reprogramming of the ECM.

I put the 4 inch Rineharts on mine. No reprogram needed.

Welcome to the stock club.....

As long as you do not change Air intake (filter set up)

you do not need a re program.

computer samples at intake

No tuner needed if you don't add a hi-flow A/C.

whatever you do dont get any samson product. I got the samson ovals about 2weeks ago for my 2011 ultra and after i rode it 400 miles the right side turned gold. The chrome is junk.I talked to Samson And it seems im stuck. So if you want a one dollar a mile slip on ?????? Waiting still to see what they are going to do. Gave them my phone number 5 days ago still no reply.

You probably won't kill your motor by adding slip ons without a tune, but just be mindful that the change will slightly effect the OEM tune. Almost everyone you talk to will say the same thing, "you don't need a tune with just slip ons or just an air cleaner, but if you do them both you need to retune". I will just recommend to define "need" for yourself. I've shared my personal tuning experience on this topic several times, but very few take heed. Until you see the unmolested data yourself, from one run to the next, by simply cleaning your air filter you will see a measurable effect on AFR, so do you think there might be an effect from changing mufflers or an air cleaner. Again, you have to decide for yourself, your definition of "need", what compromises you are willing to accept in your tune, and what you feel will be OK for your bike.

I there anyone out there who can look at a set of plugs from an EFI bike and tell what your AFR tables look like across the entire operating spectrum. Just curious cause my plugs look exactly the same when my WEGO reads 14.2, 14.7 or 15.2 AFR in the cruise range.
