Need some help. One derby cover torx bolt is stripped, other 4 are out. NOt sure what to do. Tried heating it up, can't get vicegrips on it.
Suggestions?
Here's the bonus, or um bonehead move...was doing fluid change and drained all three holes and can't fill up the primary until i figure out how to get this one out.(I welcome the ridicule)
Consider taking a small cutting wheel on a Dremel and cutting a groove/slot straight across the top of the bolt so that you can use a big flat-bladed screwdriver to unscrew it.

If it's the head tape off the area around the head with duct tape and cut a slot in the head with a die grinder & use a straight slot screw driver to remove.
If it's the threads in the case you will have to tap the threads.

Also to replace the screws you can go to your local stealer/indy and buy replacements
But buy the allen head screws in a button or standard style there 1/4 x 20 x 1/2 grade 8
I've been that route all ready I've got the allens in my cover and are alot easier to unscrew.
This happened on my buddy's Fat Boy. We used an easy out. You put the bit on a drill and its reversed threaded,as you drill the bit digs into the screw head making it turn out. Any hardware store or Home Depot will have them.
