Default 4 point docking hardware really sticks out!

Is it just me or does the docking hardware really stick out when nothing is on it?

Why in the world would you have 4-point docking hardware with nothing on it?!?!? What is wrong with you?!!?

Depends if you went with chrome ones or black ones on your bike. I'll assume you went with chrome. You're not use to them for one. If you have a solo seat it would be more noticeable than with a 2 up touring saddle.

You can also dress up those protrudes with magnetic caps/covers.

The important thing is that they are very useful.

I dont find them to stick out too much. Ive got the magnetic chrome covers and they look finished with these on when youve got nothing attached. I could understand why you would think they stick out with the profile of the bike, but they will grow on you after a while.

Are the magnetic chrome covers an HD part or aftermarket?

It's not just you,I agree. That's why I didn't buy the QD kit,and I didn't like the bracket for the tag either.I prefer the clean rear fender look.

Bothered me for about a day but after that not at all; and I run a solo seat 90% of the time. I love the versatility on the King (has those long chrome rails along fender anyway) and it kind of fits in the old architectural thought that "form follows function" to me.

I am only running a back rest but went with the FBI docking kit for the back rest and am putting the 4 point on ebay. Later if I go with a trunk I will use their quick disconnect for that also.

I agree I thought they kinda look goofy/sticking out too.
So I bought the black ones (and black strut covers) thinking they wouldn't be so in your face like the chrome is, but it didn't help. The chrome looks better.

I was getting my saddlebags painted so I painted the black ones I had.
