Question have you heard how many people are having oil blow-by problimes? I have a 210 limited oil started coming out of the AC at 12000 mile last aug. the dealer has worked on it since it has been in the shop app 150 days this year they picked it up aug 1 still have not got it back. They wouldn't give up a loaner because HD wont pay. Don't know what to do..

Tell them you want a new wire harness installed or a new bike.

oil blow by as in oil is getting past the piston rings into the combustion chamber and creating a smoke storm......OR...are you talking about the oil that drips from the air intake that gets there via the case vent recovery and often have reports of leaking oil....mine does it if I put more than 3.5 qts of oil in the engine at cold drain and fill.

If your bike is under warranty, don't take it back until it's fixed. If you're not getting satisfaction at the dealer level, call the Mothership. If your ABS hasn't functioned since day one, and you've repeatedly told the dealer about it, there's MoCo documentation on your side.

Hope you find some resolution. A lot of fixing and not a lot of riding so I'll agree with the others and say get rid of it.

I know how frustrating these things can be. I would do everything I possibly can to make HD eat it on this one, and not me. Good luck whatever you decide.

Thirty years ago I had a brand new KZ1000 that the main fuse would blow out sitting in parking lots. I would replace the fuse hit the ignition switch and watch it melt. After several visits to the dealer, finally one night I had to park it inside a bar and to the dealer to keep the POS until it was fixed. Finally the mechanic took the tins completely off and discovered a burr on a frame weld had rubbed through the insulation causing the short. He then tie wraped the entire wiring harness every 3 inches to the frame after filing down the burr.

As others have stated I think a more carefull inspection of the wiring harness would find the short and fix your problem. Typically it is something that tech's tack for granted and overlook. Just my 2 cents.

First place I'd look is under the control mount switches and other wiring disturbed during the apes install, looking for a pinched wire(s).
Vibrations when engine running and hitting bumps are not your friend....forget that it's OK in the garage..
