I've got an 08 Ultra with a little over 17K in mileage on it, I bought it in August of '09. I change my own fluid and recently changed the bars to a set of Santee 14" mini apes that are 1 1/4" diameter. I've added Kuryakyn's "Perfect Storm" set-up, the Kuryakyn people did that at a show.
I've always had a slight vibration change as the RPM's rose, but lately the vibration has become more noticeable in each gear right around 2600 to 2800 RPM's. Is this normal? Is this something that I should be worried about? The guy at the Harley shop keeps telling me that there is "going to be vibration when you own a Harley." Gosh!, there's something I didn't know. What I'm talking about is the dramatic change in the vibration in the 2600-2800 RPM range, and that range is the beginning of the vibration, it does not change again after 2800 RPM.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as to what this could be. Thank you in advance.
Run some Lucas injector/combustion chamber cleaner or Marvel Mystery oil in the fuel to clean up the injectors. It smoothed out my 08 after 200 miles at 80 mph on the interstate. I also avoid Ethanol like the plague. my 2 cents

I noticed with my 08 FLHTC after the 20k checkup last fall there was more vibration in the floor boards than before. At the 25K this spring checkup had then check the motor mounts and other things and they said all was fine. Mine still has the extra vibration in the floorboards around the 2300-2500 rpm. When I do the 30K checkup in a few weeks going to have them look hard or go to a custom shop to see if they can see what this extra vibration is.
