i have a stock HK radio with Polk Audio speakers. When riding for a few about a half hr the speakers will start to cut out like a loose wire when hitting a bump.Checked and cleaned all wires and die electric greased them still same prob.My thery is when radio heats up not enough power to push speakers so this is why speakers are cutting out does this make sence???
thanks for the info will give them a call.Forgot to add my bike is 2004 E/G . This prob just started a few weeks back all of a suden, had these speakers in for about 2 years no problem.Wondering if a amp will solve problems, well ill give Iron Cross a call .thanks again to all that had input.Jim
Check the "sticky" on the first page of this forum that refers to self-diagnostic procedure for the HK. See if you learn anything from using the procedure.
Also, check your bike for broken fairing brackets and/or the bottom of the radio hitting the riser bolts. HD has addressed these sources of increased vibration that leads to failures of the HK radio (which Iron Cross Audio can repari) with some new parts that you may want to use.
