I'm wrapping up the new Wild-1 575 installation and got all the wiring to work by doing some repositioning, brake line is fine and need to put on the +4 clutch cable. Instructions in the service manual say remove the right side exhaust but I am wondering, is it possible, or feasible to install the cable with the exhaust on the bike. Certainly looks easier that way but trying to avoid removing more things than necessary.
Getting all the wiring in the bars was a PIA but with some WD-40 and a green cleaner, they did go in.
on my 09 I was able to use a long ball end Allen wrench and did not have to remove the exhaust in order to get the side plate off. That was when I had stock headers. Word of advise...place the front wheel on a 2x4 or even 4x6 if you have one. Then when you put the stand down, the bike will lean over enough that you wont lose a whole lot of fluid.
I have the V&H power dual exhaust and the "power chamber" is rather large and it doesn't appear that I can get behind it to take off the clutch cover. A bit of extra work but probably easier than trying it with it on.
I put 575s on my 09 Ultra a few months ago. I removed the heat shield and used a long ball end allen socket to get the cover off. The hardest part was getting the new cable threads to start into the cover. That took a while.
Another word of advice. My stock clutch cable was routed around and over the top of my glovebox (EG Standard, no radio) as I am sure it is routed around and over the top of your radio. I pulled mine and ran it UNDER my glovebox, gaining about 3 extra inches of cable and was able to use the stocker. No tranny cover removal, etc. Saved mucho pain in the azz!
Actually the cable was under the radio and I tried pulling to see if there was any extra slack but couldn't get any significant movement. I already have the +4 cable but if I didn't have to use it I could/would return it. Thanks for the info though.

Hold the cable, spin the cover. Tighten as required. Not much of a problem really. Just silly things you learn.
Do not over tighten the cable, it will break! I'm in the middle of doing the same but now have to wait for a couple of weeks for delivery (to Europe) of a new cable.
