Starter grind fixed

Ran today in 93 degree heat. Heat index closer to 100. Actually got stuck on interstate for 20 minutes in one spot. Turned ignition off several times in a 5 hr test run. From what I've seen, my starter grind is gone. Hope you all have good success too.

I had an 07 Ultra Classic and had the same problem. I am suspecting you have a compensator issue.Or the bad spot on the starter gear just hasn't stopped at the right place yet.

hows the grind repair holding uP?

I am curious about something....did you step torque the thru bolts....starting a say 20 inch lbs, then 30, then 40, then 50?

MOCO had a tech bulletin about starter grounding. Had a exhaust bracket added to help with grounding ...High torque starter helped.

I've had no more issues. I did not torque the bolts(do not own torque wrench), I did get on it pretty tight though with blue loctite.
