Default Dry Erase Markers???

I find I have a very good memory but it just does not last that long, I was thinking on trips about writing key directions on the inside of my wind deflector. Has anyone tried any products that come off easily?????? The dry erase marker directions say for any non-porous surface, but being plastic it is kind of porous????

Over time the dry erase marker will become very difficult to remove. Heat worsens the effect. Why not just use a piece of masking tape, and write on it?

That is what I do. I just wipe it off as I go. Did notice when in the sun all day the last few may not come off with finger wipe but will with a dry cloth. Use to just write them out and tape them but found it did not hold up well in rain.

Index card taped to tank with blue (painter's) masking tape.

Worked for a recent 1038 mile trip. Called it my Poorman's GPS.

If GPS is not an option (I'm soooo yuppie) then grease pencil like the man said. Glass, plexiglass, plastic, lexan...map overlay after map overlay in the TOC....

....memories.

+1 with aviator. I used to use a grease pencil on my F4s side canopy to note frequencies, altitudes, and etc. as I flew.

I've had the unfortunate experience of a Post-It Note flying away in the wind. Guess the gas tank gets more wind than I thought.

Don't use them!
