Motor top end noise

Motor top end noise
My '09 Road King has a serious knock/pinging from the top end on cold start (higher rpm). It seems to come out of it once it idles for a while but i still get the sound when the motor revs in the higher RPM's. Anyone have a problem like this?

My '09 was making noise...clicking/tapping....and got worse through a week.
Took it to dealer under warranty. Had new rear roller tappet, intake/exhaust valves, inboard cam bearings, exhaust valve guide and rear cylinder head, plus assorted gaskets/springs/seal kits....

Dealer : that's normal. They all make that noise. It's a Harley you know. I thought I had top end noise...nope it was a worn out fuel cap. Take it in and don't take no crap!

I have some aggravating top end noise at 2500 rpm in 4th gear. Sounds like a sewing machine. Guess it is "normal". No issues at idle or higher rp.

I do too. 3rd touring bike and don't think I've heard that sound till this bike. Doesn't sound like something to take in for, just annoying.
