i have a 2011 street glide with a 103 , i am at a real crossroads , i know this is kind of "i want my cake and eat it too" question
1. Bought bike a month ago and put rinehart true duals on , did SERT, stage 1 too , but the lack of low end torque to me was poor , was terrible compared to my 2008 with factory head pipe and 3 inch rinehart slipons .
2. dealer was great credited me back for full true duals, i put factory head pipe back on with a set of the 4 inch slipons and a full dyno tune - all my tourque was back , runs like a dream , but doesnt have that bark any more? I have 4000kms on bike now and miss the sound
3. do i try a different head pipe ? drop back from 4 inch to the 3 inch rineharts? try a different slipon? some have said to take baffle out of the 4 inch slipons if i want noise? if i take out baffle will i lose back pressure and tourque again ?
i know i will get a pile of different opinions here , just wondering if anyone has done this dance too .
maybe i just need to deal with it the way it is and ride on !!
I like my 4" Rineharts and have a FullSac headpipe, but still wasn't getting the sound that I wanted. I ended up buying some Big City Thunder QQ Baffles and removed the Rineharts baffles. I'm more than happy with the sound I have now, still have great power because backpressure is maintained, and I got to keep the good looking 4" Rineharts.
