Default Road Glide Custom

Thinkin of goin to an 11 RGC from my 06 EGC. I plan on a different windshield and takin the lower fairings of my Classic. Anything else I should know about the Road Glide? I Dont ride 2 up very often but Im sure Ill put a sundowner seat or something like that on there.

Anyone else make a similar switch? Likes/Dislikes?

I went from an 07 EGC to my 10 FLTRX, and haven't looked back, I'm hooked on FUGLY, but be aware you reopened the can of worms, lol.

Im tired of seeing street glides so if I do get rid of mine I want it to be different, but it has to be a bagger and have a stereo. That narrows it down lol. I like the looks and the fact that lots of people DONT like it!!!!

Shhh. Don't tell anyone else about the SG's, their feelings will be hurt and they will start calling you names...

You're going to LOVE the handling on the Road Glide! Check on the lowers though - I don't believe they will mount correctly to the 09 and newer RG's.

Here is a little "Insider Tip" on the Road Glide.....

The headlights don't turn when you turn the bars, its crazy I know. Its like a magic trick every time I turn the bike.........Weird

I like looking over the shield, so I went with a 12" tinted Klock Werks. Swapped the bars out for Wild 1 515s with PM Contour grips.
Got rid of the cat by going with V&H Power Duals mated to Monster Ovals. Let in a little more air with a PM Super Gas.

I think it's a good change and will keep you happy for quite a while. Shield and bars are good thoughts. As far as the lowers... yea they will work. That was one of the changes they made to the Customs and Ultras, they changed the angle of the fairing so you could use the stock HD lowers. Mllgator just had it backwards , 09 and below don't work.

Best of luck on your change if you decide to go through with it!
