thanks for all the suggestions guys.... I keep my fairing, saddle bags, tour pak, etc looking great with car wash soap, wash mitt, chamois, etc. I was just afraid of ruining the chrome parts if I sprayed the wrong product on them. I'm not too up on that stuff, but I am now - thanks again.
Oh, by the way, a pipe cleaner soaked in dawn dish soap to clean between the cooling fins on the jugs sounds like a great idea....... I wish I would have thought of that. I use dawn dishsoap to clean greasy car parts, snowmobile parts, dirt bike parts, etc.
krud cutter.... 50/50 mix... spray on warm motor... let sit, hose off
Krud Cutter is THE best degreaser I have ever used.... It's safe to use on anythign too. For the scoot I just spray it on and rinse it off after a few minutes. I use it full strength.
I started using it originally on my deep fryers to get the oil build up off. I sprayed it on and it dissolves the light gunk within minutes with some easy wiping with just a rag. Couldn't believe it ! I first thought something was wrong as I had never seen cooked on fryer oil come off a fryer like that.
Heavy gunk I use a scratchy pad with the same results. I use it full strength in a spray bottle on EVERYTHING now..... Best chit ever !
