Same thing happened to me 18 months ago, went to get an air pump for my shocks, came out with a whole new set, and the bike to go with it, the best part is they gave me the pump free, lol. Congratulations on the purchase.
Similar thing happend to me. I took my bike to the dealer to have the stator replaced. I left it on the used bike floor and bought my friends SE Ultra.
I went to the dealer today to spend $. Got out without spending anything. All the 12's were sold out.
Salesman said to come back at the end of next week and they will have another batch.
They get them to the showroom fast as they are now shipped on a steel pallet and held down with two straps. They undo the two straps and roll them to the showroom. The pallet returns on the same truck back to HD.
I like this dealer because they do not charge anything for "set up".
Ya, my Sig pic is me riding my 2011 SG back from Ft. Worth, TX. Went to TX to visit family over Thanksgiving weekend last year. I'd sold my last bike a month earlier, so i decided to go check out(no intention of buying ANYTHING) the bikes at a dealer we drove by. Drove a little over 600 miles back to Kansas with a new bike!!!
I thought it only happenend to me! I saw my color and the wife said get it. my dealer knowes me well enough to not even tell me about the 103 , it was just there when i picked it up.
Those HD sales reps are definitely tricky...lure you in w/their $pendy parts & brainwash you into walking out w/new bike. Been there myself...it's a curse. Congrats on the new steed & ride safe!
