Start the bike, Idle seems like it is about to stall then RPMs go up.. then back down, when in 1st gear, does the same, have to ride the clutch just right.
Check Engine light came on, then did not come back on on a subsequent restart.
Used Fuel Cleaner
Clutch Adjusted this weekend.
Air Filter Cleaned
New Plugs 10k ago
Fluid Change 2k ago
93 Octane Gas, various sources
PC5 maps still loaded.
This is a recent change in bike behavior.
50K up to this point and running strong.
Ideas?

check engine light means it threw a code it may be stored,if it is at start up the light will go off then come back on for a few more seconds after start up.dought it has to do with octane, more than likely a sensor is starting to go goofy.

Just an idea, what about the fuel filter? Just changed mine at 27k miles and the manual states to change at 25k and mine was pretty much clogged up.
probally heat related...your are probally running too lean of a low rpm mixture....also could be your engine temp sensor (mounted at the rear of your forward heads). Un plug the heat sensor and if the bike runs better, you either are running too lean or you need a new sensor.
