guestion about cam chains

Is the cam chains the same part in an 06 EG as it is in the earlier models? I heard that they went with a different cam chain in 06 to help with the tensioner wear. Thanks for your help. Also, if they did go with a different chain has it helped with tensioner wear in the 06 TC88 motors. Thanks again.

I thought it was the 07's? ....not sure...the dealership will know. My brother has an 07 and his has the new hydraulic tensioner style.

Here's an 07 with 90,000 miles on it. Much improved. Good upgrade over old style.

They not only went to a roller chain, but they also put in hydraulic tensioners. It wasn't just the chain that changed.
