I like the idea. If you do get it too thick for the connectors to attach the bags, something like the Brukus Saddlebag Secure would still work (the screws that come with that set up are good length.

I used the liner (carpet) from Dennis Kirk PN h50-169. They were $75 . No issues with them at all. Look great.

I looked at the carpet kit for the inside of the bags and I thnk that will be the way to go. Now if i can find a new (obsolete) oil pressure gauge and voltmeter. Thanks for all the imput, Bear
