New to the HD world but we ride with a couple that have been on Harley's for years. Last weekend after we picked up our bike I borrowed my buddy's air pump and proceeded to pump up the air ride, it would only take 25 psi. We tried it on his 2006 Electra Glide classic and it would pump up to 30psi. I have read on my 2010 for 2 up (and we aint small people) I should put it at 50? But it only takes 25? Thinking this is something I might get the dealer to check along with the constantly on ABS light since I picked up the bike.
Constantly "on" ABS light would be my biggest concern....likely means it ain't working. Have them check out your suspension while you're there.
My '02 maxs out at 20 psi, but they changed shocks and raised the psi limit on later year bikes. Mine rides best at about 6 psi but that isn't a fair comparison.
Bring it in for the ABS, get the suspension question answered as a bonus.
Yup, you're still under warranty. Have them look at both the ABS and the shocks. Your pressure problem doesn't make sense to me. You should be able to put in as much air as you need.
As before, Have the ABS checked & pronto.
While you are there, try a new pump. Your buddies may be damaged.
Also pump it up and bleed the pressure down to where you want it.
careful you don't over pressure the system.
your manual will give suggested settings, as will the sticker on the crashbar
You are using the little 'syringe" type pump?
Bicycle pumps can cause damage.
BTW my 09 rides best with 7 to 10 pounds solo/2 up
