Yes it is worth going and spending some time, at least a few hours.
The restaurant is expensive, I can't comment on the food there (I left after seeing the prices on the menu). The diner was not cheap either but we were hungry, the food there was good.
The Museum rocks, lots of security around but that's probably cause they let you get really close. Some incredible bikes are simply parked in small groups and cordoned off, almost close enough to touch.
My only mistake was being too much into taking pics rather than absorbing the whole experience, but I will skip the camera next visit.
HD did a 1st class job,it's literally a walk through history from the start to the present time and gives a real sense of how much has changed yet still remains the same at the core.
Without a doubt, it's worth the price of admission. The museum is incredibly well done, visited there twice now, once with a friend that works for Harley. Skip the food and the $10 audio tour.
agree with skipping the earphones, maybe if one person in the group gets them it would be ok. went a couple years ago, my wife and i really enjoyed it, lots of cool old bikes and history.
Just got back from the Museum. Enjoyed the tour. Dont do the audio tour, Wasted money. The roads in Milwakee are a mess. Road construction everywhere. Stayed at Super 8 airport. Very nice and priced right. Food is expensive at the museum but we had to do it once. Glad I went but once is enough.
