Anyone have problems attaching standard height sissy bar(#52627-09) to a 4pt. docking system? Mine seems to be impossible to attach on my`11 SG. Even took it to a friend who is a good mechanic, and he could not install it! I thought the idea was for “quick release and install” Thanks.

you only dock into 2 of the points...(in case you're trying to use all 4)
The sissy bars on the 09 and later bikes only require a two point docking hardware as the two forward most mounts on the sissy bar connect to a point on the top of the rear shocks, if you look you will see it and the rear of the sissy bar with the quick detach bracket connect to the forward two on the 4 point mounting hardware. You use the 4 point hardware for luggage racks and tourpaks. Hope this helps!
my 09 is BEACH to get on and off too.
when putting on, I lean on the back rest while holding in the catches. I get it as far as I can and then tap the plastic latches with a hammer handle. (wood - no steel - careful not to bump fender or anything else)
taking off usually requires a little hammer handel helper on one side as well.
You aren't alone my friend ..I put the 4 pt mount on my 2011 Road King..and bought the standard height quick detach passenger bar and I have to just catch one side and then pull and spread the other side 3/16 to 1/4" to get it to go ( it actually puts marks in the plastic bushings on the docking points. ...Soooo unlike Harley to have a system with such a poor tolerance. But I suppose the contract on producing the backrest upright went to the low bidder. I asked the Parts dept at the dealership and thay said that they hear that a lot on that item .
