Hi all- just installed front docking kit on 99 FLHTCUI, which HD says wont fit but Dennis Kirk says will. The install went together fine but one side latch on the quick detach sissy bar doesnt quite line up properly. Ive fiddled and added and removed spacers but the LH lower side of the sissy bar just doesnt fit as well as the right. Any suggestions?
Also, are you supposed to use any kind of lubrication on the black bakelite docking points?
Are all Harley accessory install instructions written by imbeciles?
My 2006 FLHX has the front docking hardware for the sissy bar and the rear docking hardware for the luggage rack. It's been awhile since I put them on but don't the directions say it may be necessary/helpful to slightly increase or decrease the width of the mounting points on the accessory itself by slightly bending?
