Fuel Tanks Question and more..

Iâ€™m hoping someone can help me out with a Fuel Tank question. Looking at my parts book for my 06 EG, the tank for the Carb model is the same part number as the Injected tank. I am guessing this is correct. Now the question is will a 05 Tank (Injected) fit my 06 (Carb)?

Also is there a reference manual that will tell me if certain parts fit different years?

Carb and injected fuel tanks will not interchange because of the electric fuel pump inside the tank and the fuel line ports on the bottom of the injected tank. Carbed tank only has 1 port on the bottom which has the fuel valve (petcock) not used on injected model. Don't know about the reference book.
