I love my 09 flht but it is hot . 2011 and 2012 have cats in the exhaust and are even hotter . All can be cured . Buy used 09 road glide or electra glide hundreds of them out there .
Good luck on your choice. Seems to be the thoughts that everyone are going through that are buying new ones these days. When i was on the hunt i was looking for an 07 and up for the tranny and 96, preferably 09 and up due to the frame. Ended up going new with a 2010 and been real happy.

Thats's a great looking Glide in your signature! Of course you can tell from my sig that my next bike will have Apes!
All the thoughts are kind of the way I have been leaning. I have not done quite enough research on the Glides to know what differences are in years. I really like the ones which have the same rear as Street Glide (10 and up?) Although I have considered eventually stretching the bags and fender so it wouldn't matter anyhow.
How about the wind issues I seem to read about on road glide forum? I had a 6.5 KW shield on my SG and it did OKAY, nothing special but worked for me. I hope I won't have to put on a tall shield to enjoy the Glide?
Welcome back! Thank heavens I have ZERO interest in boats, the guys i've known who have them have very little good to say about them after the "newness" of having one wears off.
Whatever bike you go with you'll have fun you already know that!
Had a Bass boat for several years, enjoyed the fishing but the realization never matched the anticipation, my bike rides are allways enjoyable. Welcome Back
