Lowering front end on my RK?
I have already put on the Harley low profile rear shocks and wonder if I use the Harley front end kit, will I loose my air adjustable ride.
Is this something I will need to have done at the dealer or I can do myself?
Any information appreciated.

The kit only lowers the bike 1.5". I really couldn't tell much difference.
The installation is not easy. Been a bike mechanic and racer for years and shortening the forks is a fairly straight forward job. The hard part is installing the springs. They need to be compressed and the cap put back on. I used a press and held the fork with my hand while cranking the press down. It pushed the cap down until it went into the top of the fork. Then I used a wrench to turn the cap.
The book says to use a special HD tool to hold the forks in a vise then to compress the spring and install the cap.
The old racer method on Metric bikes was to make a spacer out of aluminum and put it inside on the lower shaft. Then cut the spring by the amount of the spacer length.
The HD kit uses a shorter lower shaft and spring.
If you would like to try it and need some advise phone me at (859) 608-9167.
