Started with 16'' LA Chopper bars on my Electra Glide. They have no bend forward in the bar. Replaced them with CycleSmiths bars. Very happy.

Gents (used loosely of course), my first thread, so shoot me if I'm not politically correct with my posting method here ;0) Just got an '09 Street Glide and love it. Just happened to sit on a 2010 Road Glide and was amazed at how more "natural" the bars felt (both bikes stock, same seat, etc). After much analyzing, it appears that the RG's bars are more perpendicular to the bike than the SG (SG's seem to "sweep" back a little more towards the seat). So, I'm looking at/for bars that are a little straighter and maybe a little taller (I'm 6'1", but not looking for apes). Went in to my local HD shop and it seems the Tallboy handle bar (#56184-08) might fit the bill. My trusty HD rep also told me I would have to change out all the lines and wires as well (twist grip sensor kit, clutch cable, brake line, ABS line) which seems to be in contradiction to what I've read on some of these threads?? Any help and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated, thanks!!

Oh yeah..... on a second look your bike does have handle bars. Didn't notice them the first time. All I saw were legs!

fireman jeff .. appreciate your pics .. yours are ergo "backs" ? ... im trying to tell the diff. between ups and backs .. im 6'3 .. definitely like the height of yours and the straight wrist position.. either would probably work.... but im thinkin the ups might be best for me.... do you still like yours ?
