Radio crapped out. Two weeks out of warranty. Giving B2017 Front spk open code. Trouble with radio was documented before warranty went out. I am going to check it out with dealer.
I swear, HD is going to have to do something about those shitty head units. Seems like everyday somebody is having problems. I took the speakers and heat unit out and installed custom. No more problems and a hell of alot better sound.
I have been waiting 1 month for my second radio replacement.
I am told they are on back order and the dealer is waiting for 4 of them, I am in line.
What a piece of SH-T, if it were not under warranty I would swap it out.
Oh Ya, I am Canadian so I have to pay the import duty on the radio when it comes from the US because it is not made in the US so no free trade, more SH-T.
Mine went out in my Tri-Glide on my way home from the dealers the day I bought it, rode home in a heavy down pour. It took 3 weeks for them to get a replacement in. My third touring bike and third one with a bad radio.
You realize the dealer is going to put a refurbished unit in your bike. So chances are you'll have the same problem later. When you get it you might want to think about sending the new one to Iron Cross and let them modify the radio for you. Also check to make sure you don't have any broken fairing brackets (excess vibration is one of the reasons that the radios die prematurely).
