My brother had his 02 RK classic for sale with 31000 miles. Asked 9000.00 for it and the first guy who came by looked it over, offered 8500.00 and left when my brother asked him to leave while putting it back in the garage. Made him so mad that now he says he'll leave it in shed til tires rot before he'll let anyone else try to srew him out of it. Long story short, Most sellers are set on their price unless desperate, which they'll mention, and you might lose a great bike by trying to save a few dollars.

When I sell anything, I set a fair price, and I don't budge. This is a good price. I wouldn't dicker over it, only about verifying that it is in good condition, by checking with servicing dealer, or having it checked out by dealer or Indy.
When I sold my 66 Mustang in 86, I didn't like a guy that beat the **** out of it on a test drive, so I told him I changed my mind and wasn't selling it. Sold it to the next polite kid for $1,000 and he is probably still driving around in it today.
I hear ya guys and appreciate the info. Bike is at a dealer and is doing 'blowout' prices to clear em out. I'm supposed to be waiting but couldn't help to look. This is what happens when I look, find a great deal and don't want to wait. We'll see what happens, thanks again

I guess you can have it up for sale, or sell it, your choice. I think most would offer less to any dealer...just sayin y
negotiating a price with a dealer is perfectly fine and not insultin $7650 is trade in value....the dealer made money on the new bike sale if it was traded in..so offer him $7700 give em your number tell em he has 24 hours or your buying another one. chances are he will take it if not offer $8000 tops
