I didn't know it was a dealer. When I sell something, I don't like dickering, so I ask the lowest price I will take. I sold my 2004 Vulcan 750 in February for $2300. Buyer called asked if I would have taken $2100. I said no, this is as low as I go, I just put $1700 into it. He bought it later that week and I just talked to him, he has 4k trouble free miles and is happy. If he would have kept badgering me about price, I wouldn't have sold it.
Some guys like dickering and say Price OBO. But some guys say firm, and don’t lowball me. They will take offense to lowball. Personally those are guys I like to buy from, they are saying they have already set a fair price, I am a man of integrity.
With a dealer you can dicker as much as you want, but this is a good price and while you're dickering someone who knows the market will buy it, and you'll be saying coulda, shouda.

I had my last bike priced at 7900. The bike was well worth it. I had people who actually had the ***** to ask me to finance it for them.
Was I insulted? No, but I eventually had to sell it for 6400. I was so glad to see someone with cash, that I was happy and so was he.

Sounds like a good deal. I wouldn't be afraid to negotiate further, but if you pay what they're asking you'll have done fine.

...ok, it didn't say anything in the OP about it being at a dealer, but if it IS at a dealership...then it is not an insult to negotiate in my opinion..no matter what the price..if it was a private sale it would be different.....I mean, who cares if you insult a dealer..right?
