I put the HD Boom Front Speakers in my bike today . IMO a big improvement over stock and for $129 after discount I think they were really worth it. At 75 mph I can hear it clearly at 1/2 volume
Do you have a part # for these speakers? I can't find front speakers on the H-D site.
Thanks.
Hey man, You runn'n an amp with those? My stock sound like crap as well...
Thanks
I am not running an amp. Wife tells me i play the stereo too loud now. They are far better than stock and better than the 6.5 biketronics I had. In fairnes to biketronics, the speakers I had (have) were 4 ohm and my head unit is 2 ohm. So they would not give the output I wanted.
It is my understanding the HD Booms and J&M 5.25 speaker itself are the same just the Boom has the tweeters in the kit like the 7.25 J&M kit to give depth to the sound.
Agreed no need to amp the 5.25s (wouldn't hurt though) but you must amp the 7.25s or you will have horrible response from the speakers.
Enjoy and this is just my 2cents, not 100% on the accuracy this was just what I was able to gather from personal research.
Yes, they work on a street glide.. I put them on my bike last week and was quizzing the counter guy..
His basic response is the street glide is an electra glide, just stripped down.
I bought em anyways, installed them without a problem, and am very happy with them.
