Has anyone used V-Twins final drive locking tool on a 2007 touring sprocket.
It is less expensive than some of the others, I was just wondering if will do the job.

I gave lots of different methods a try but not a piece of flat bar stock they all became bent twisted or broken trying to remove the nut.
how would the flat bar stock method be set up I am willing to give it a try.
I think it is something like 5 and 7/8's long. Round the edges. You can make one for a few bucks at a hardware store. 1/4 inch flat bar about an inch and a half wide or so.
Yep, used one yesterday no problem. Gotta love home made stuff. I cant believe MoCo sells that stuff. In my old tractor service manuals it would give you specs for special tool so you could make them yourself.
I think we have a communication problem the tool I am talking about mounts on to the final drive pulley. I have already made a tool to remove the primary drive sprockets/clutch/compensator.
Yep thats it. Took a piece of bar stock and threaded a hole in it. then a bushing a little shalower than the pulley then a shorter piece of bar stock with a hole in it. Install a 3/8 bolt till its tite on the pulley and lean it on the frame. Is that what you were talking about?
Mine pinches the outside of the pulley. Not exactly the OEM tool but I have used it several times and it works well. I machined the parts with a mill to get the tolerences right.
