The MOCO siren has a battery back up, if you disconnect the battery when the alarm is set it will still go off. Its a nice unit - I bought one.
$84.95 p/n 68328-02 Harley-Davidson® Factory Security System Smart Siren Kit
$89.95 p.n 68328-06 Harley-Davidson® Security System Smart Siren II
$5.96 p/n 273-079 Radio Shack 109db Piezo Siren
Since I have an Ultra, and disconnecting the battery means removing the seat,(Which is a real pain with the tour pak) by the time that gets done, a thief will have woke up everyone for three blocks. Silencing the siren(For a thief) requires removing right side hard bag . electrical cover, ECM, and ECM mounting electrical cover.(Thats also where the plug is to connect the siren is, from the factory)
If you don't want to cut and splice, the plug is a DELPHI Connector, not a Deutsch Connector.
Whats nice is if you set your sensitivity to level 4, bumping the bike results in a single chirp, you forget to deactivate your alarm , you get two single 1 second chirps, and time to deactivate it with the fob, before the siren just constantly screams
Delphi connector - female. I haven't found a male counterpart yet but I am researching it and getting closer. I think some measurements will have to be made and pictures taken of the plug. There is no part number on the plug that I could find.
i just took the bare wires from the radio shack siren and jammed them into the corresponding holes in the plug, then put the plug cap back on. holds it in place nice and tight, and no cutting/splicing needed.
I happen to have the siren and pager from my '04 RK that I recently sold.....it is a simple plug-and-play. anyone interested, PM me with a reasonable offer and its yours....
Trying to do the install on my '06 Street Glide. Removed the right side cover and found a plug with three wires in it (Black, Grey, and Green) that had a plug in the end of it. Is this the right connector or the service connector? The instructions said there would be a Brown wire and Idon't see it. I tried the siren with the plug I found and only got a light buzz out of the siren... Any help would be appreciated.
