but you will have to cut wires or find a plug that fits . So i'm probbaly better off buying the harley siren
does the regular alarm actually have a siren? At the love ride some guy next to me had a chirper, but no other audible alarm...

The MOCO siren has a battery back up, if you disconnect the battery when the alarm is set it will still go off. Its a nice unit - I bought one.

Since I have an Ultra, and disconnecting the battery means removing the seat,(Which is a real pain with the tour pak) by the time that gets done, a thief will have woke up everyone for three blocks. Silencing the siren(For a thief) requires removing right side hard bag . electrical cover, ECM, and ECM mounting electrical cover.(Thats also where the plug is to connect the siren is, from the factory)
If you don't want to cut and splice, the plug is a DELPHI Connector, not a Deutsch Connector.
Whats nice is if you set your sensitivity to level 4, bumping the bike results in a single chirp, you forget to deactivate your alarm , you get two single 1 second chirps, and time to deactivate it with the fob, before the siren just constantly screams
