Seat Grab Strap Removal any tips?

i just got my new sundowner deep bucket seat today, same as you (to make the wife happy) i used a dremmel (i know, i know) to remove the dam bolt. i kept the strap on just in case. however, i did like the idea mentioned by Baffler1 to use the bracket for bungee cords.

I did too. Cut it off right after I scratched the fender trying to slip the seat out of the strap with the rear metal hold down thingy bob.

Just unbolt the freaking bracket and take it off. You don't need a filler. The bolt will tighten back up without the bracket. Sometimes people on here amaze me.

Yup, that's what I ended up doing. Was one of the simple mods but wanted to ask before taking the brackets off so if I needed washers I could have them on hand before ripping into it.
