Default SG speakers?

I am trying to decide what is my best option as far as aftermarket speakers for my streetglide. I am not really interested in paying extra just to have hog tunes or jm name on them. I just want a clearer sound from the stock head unit without an amp for now. Can anyone recommend a set of speakers that will be direct mount or that I can by brackets for I don't really want to have to customize anything. Thanks for any help in advance.

Memphis makes a set of speakers that are marine grade for about $75. I looked at t hem when I was in the market for a new system. I believe they are 50 watt RMS. I listened to them without an amp and they sounded great.

Any 6.5" will work with adapter rings. I have Polk Audio in mine. I would suggest getting marine grade speakers

I went with the J&M 7.25" and am very happy with the look and the sound. Yes they are a little pricy but I only wanted to do it once. Without any amp or extras I think they do a great job. Shop the net for the best price and install is something you can do yourself, they come with great instructions.

If you have a 2 ohm factory speaker,..............better stick with that . Infinity makes a nice inexpensive 2 ohm speaker.

Harley Boom speakers rock, I never have to go more than 3/4 volume and the sound is not distorted.

Do all aftermarket speakers require the purchase of separate adapter rings ? I have yet to open the fairing so I'm not sure. I have only had the bike about three weeks but the atrocious sound coming out of the stock speakers at a level that can be heard at highway speedsvis starting to get on my nerves. Is it best to just bite the bullet and do an amp at the same time ? If so what is the best value for a mini amp ? Again thanks for any advice.
