I finnaly got around to installing my new Sony radio. Thought it was going to sound great..but then no sound. I read in the troubleshotting section that if there was no sound that:The position of the fader control "Fader&Balance"is not set for 2 spearker system. My questionis: Is there anyone with the Sony DSX-200X having this problem and if so how do you set it to a 2 speaker system. My setup is the Sony radio with the Biketronics controler, ARC mini amp with Hertz 6.5 inch speakers. Any help would be helpful ..Thanks.
I have the same stereo and amp as you, and no issues like you describe. Does it have power, just no sound? They do have a little fuse and also a reset button if you accidentally arc it while installing. I run mine with 4 speakers and it sounds awesome. Also ran it with 2 while I was doing the install to see the difference.
Make sure you have your amp wired correctly, and double check all wiring and connections. I did have a bad ground at first and that caused no power, but quickly rectified the problem.
I had the same problem with mine but it had sound while on the radio.....Turns out I connected my remote turn on for the amp to the antenna wire and not the remote turn on wire. It would only power up the amp while the radio was on. Guess I was in a hurry.
Similar prob w my install. I originally grounded the stereo to the frame but didn't get a good ground. Fixed it my attaching ground wire to the ground on the Hawg Wired module.
I found my problem....I shorten my RCA cable by cutting and soldier ...didnt realize the cable wire is 2 parts. Long story short, I replaced the RCA cable and all is fine.
I have issues with sony DSXS300BTX which wire is the ground wire. My unit powers off right away and will not work. I have had it 2 years but just installed air ride and now lost radio.
