in the past when people pissed me off i used to sort it out with violence , i was pretty good at it , so i got in some serious **** , and on the last occasion i got done for attempted murder on one guy and GBH on a second , i never had a weapon or anything like that , i just thought the situation and the guys being a fair bit bigger than me deserved my full attention , one in particular didn't fair so well , he was the mouth piece of the two who called my girlfriend a c**t , and after nearly 20 years he still isn't right ,
I'm older now , more sensible and i have 3 kids , that girlfriend is my wife , i have a good job and a mortgage that only has 3 years left to go ,
so Ive got to much to loose , when possible i walk away , its not always easy and i dwell on things when i think they needed sorting sometimes ,

but at the end of the day no one is worth it , i wouldn't want to loose the family i have , unless they were the target ,

I'm big enough and confident enough in my ability to walk away without feeling like a mug or a coward ,& if i think its that bad , ill go back when there are no witnesses .
you did the right thing , you know that , so keep your head up ,

He was obviously a clueless tool.
Really? From my observations of group riding ( no matter the size of the group ) the #1 priority is for all members of the group to remain together, traffic laws be damned. If this means blocking an intersection illegally or running a red light, that is the accepted practice. Sounds like this was the case here.

This was not the case. It actually sounds like you are part of the problem if this is how you ride in a group.

It was a stupid move and I think you let it get to you a tad too much. But the guy could have let you know what he was doing, or asked if it was ok before he did it so he didn't look like such an ***.

No, the observation I gave is why I don't do any group rides.
