Flush Fuel Cap and Gauge Kit
I recently installed the HD Flush Fuel Cap and Gauge Kit. Today I noticed the "Fuel Tank" Icon wasn't lit and when I first turn on bike all the LED's do not light as they once did.
Anyone have this issue?
I know the LED gauge isn't accurate at all but I can live with that.

I'm on my second set with my Night Train and these are slowly failing as well. The first lasted til the second washing of the bike. This second set started failing like yours; first the gas icon then the led's for the lower gas level. I go by mileage now. Oh yeah, the first gas cap broke as well, second one has held up better. I bought the first set when they first came out and the second set in 2008 when the part number was on it's third revision and I was assured by the parts guy that all issues had been resolved.

I have a similar problem with the fuel gauge. WHen first started, all the LED's light up and the gauge indicates fuel quantity. However, once I start the engine, all of the LED's turn off except the first one (indicating low fuel). I too now use the trip odometer for fuel tracking. It looks cool when it works though.

Well unfortunately mine is out of warranty because I waited way too long to install the kit. The good thing is the gauge part that contains the LED's is available by itself as a replacement.

I've had mine 0n my 05 rk for couple yrs. Now the fuel icon didn't work for long but other than that no issues.

What is it with fuel gauges on Harleys? You either don't get one at all, or they don't work properly. The stock one fitted to my RKC is hopelessly pessimistic - it never shows full and always reads empty long before the tank actually is.
