Default New Windsplitter models,, would it be any better,

Looks like Harley is coming out with some taller heights in their Windsplitter line up. I know that these can be an exhausting type thread, I apologize in advance. I don't want something huge for a wind shield, currently using a small black 5" and like the looks, but it isn't very functional. Can;t read the radio at highway speeds, etc. Some people have tried and really disliked the original windsplitter. Do you think that they 9" or 12" inch would do a better job of deflecting wind? I am torn between a windsplitter or some kind of re-curve. Don't like the idea of stock piling a bunch of "have tried" windshields in the garage. I am riding a 2000 Roadie and I am 5'8" tall. I do have a clear stock 12" shield which is perfect for protection, but I would like the shield to be a touch more stylish. Anybody out there tried the 9".
TIA

While I have not tried any of the Windsplitters, if you wanted to give the "recurve" world a try, I recommend giving us a try. You seem to be on the fence about it, and I definitely can't blame you. So many people have a pile of worthless shields in their garage. The most important thing you can do is get the right size for you. With ours, you still get to look over the shield and be fully protected. Try one of ours, and you won't be "stuck" with it. I will give you a risk free try, and I am positive you will love it and keep it. Give me a call or email me.

Can't beat a risk free trial. I would be all over that if they offered it to me. Am considering an LRS anyway.

Well I will offer that to you as well. Take some measurements of what you need, and give me a call. I will set you up.

Wow much appreciated. I will take you up on that sometime next week. We are gonna be a little preoccupied with getting ready for this impending hurricane.
