Default Broken stubby antenna

Replaced my whip antennas on the 06 Ultra with e-glides 9" rigid antennas....no problem all season long. Of course when I roll it into the garage to put the trickle charger on for the season I caught one of the antenna masts and snapped it off with only about an eighth of an inch of the base showing. Is this going to be a major deal or can I just replace the base that snapped. Thanks for your help...

I think you can just replace the broken piece unless you ripped out the wiring somewhere but you should be all set.

If it's the same as a Street Glide, just loosen the set screw on the antenna base and uncsrew the base from the post. I bought a short antenna from an autoparts store. It's about 8-10" long with a small coiled section in the middle. Cost me under $10, screwed directly onto the bike, and works fine.

The problem is that I snapped the antenna with the post....there is only about an eigth of an inch of the post showing....sorry I wasn't clear.. can I try to unscrew whats left of the post or is the post all part of the whole wiring deal which would all have to be replaced...thanks again. By the way, I will replace these with the flexible masts even though I like the look of these!

I had the same thing happen with one of the E-Glide antennas. You just have to replace the antenna stud not a big problem. I did toss the E-Glide's and just shortened my stock antennas. Better reception and you don't have to worry about bumping an antenna and beaking it off.

On the inside of your tour pack just pull the lining away from the antenna base and you should see an allen head set screw. This allows you to remove the stud and replace it with a new one. this is a Harley part. Best I remember it only cost a few bucks.

Autozone, short flexable antenna, perfect fit, 5.99 why use anything else? Just to let you guys in on a secret, the short replacement antennas for cell phone car mounts work great too. These will run you about 10 bucks.

That's what I have on my Street Glide. It's a cell phone antenna with a coiled section in the middle. It was a direct screw-on replacement and seems to work great, though I usually use my CD player anyway. Here's a pic of it:
