Any experiences?, opinions?, or any info on this setup? Love the looks, and the pricetag isnt bad either at 570 bucks. Trying to figure the mounting setup, dosent appear from the pictures to use the factory muffler hanger under the saddlebag.
Im going to be doing a Stage 1 upgrade over the winter, and am just trying to figure out a nice complete package, not sure if maybe this system is too much for a stock 88 with simple Stage 1. Ive also been wondering about the SE mufflers im running now, and whether they might actually be hurting my motors performance. There stock mufflers off of 2009 CVO models, and me and my old man have modified them quite a bit to get the sound right (four 3/4 inch holes on the plate around the 1 1/2 inch muffler exit) Just thinking that there engineered for a 110 inch motor, and Ive essentially doubled the size of the exit, wondering if Im actually hurting, and whether a tune could be properly achieved with modified mufflers. So thought about a complete system to go with the A/C and tune. Sorry I know everyday someone is asking a similar question, just looking for any feedback.
Thanks 6 gun, the cobra website will let ya listen to the system, by my computer is saying that WMP found a problem or something and wont play the sound file.
I don't think you have to wory about the instalation
I love my cobra exhaust and I'll bet you love them aswell
I'll second these thoughts. I have had Cobra exhaust on two bikes in the last 15 years and feel they are a great value. They are built in America and install and wear very well. I doubt you'll have any problems with the install. Cobra products are engineered very well.
Definatley like the looks of this set-up, made in USA, I know they say 2 into 1 is the best exhaust for power gains, just didnt know if it might be too much for basic stage 1 88 incher.
I've had Cobra exhausts on past metric bikes along with some of their forward controls. Had (1) chrome issue with a set of forwards and they promptly corrected/replaced so I know their customer service is very good. I guess I just associate Cobra more for metrics than H-D. I was looking at their 2-1-2 power ports and one point ....
My wife has the 2-1 Power Pro on her Yamaha and its a great pipe. Probably sound a lot better on a Harley but hers is not obnoxious at all like some pipes are on Metrics. I know this probably won't help you any but it is a great pipe and the way they tie them in to one looks really good in comparison to some of the other 2 into 1's.
