Increase your timing at idle. That'll smooth it out.
Thanks 4-3 for the advice but when you say "increase your timing at idle", I hear "salamander your midnight at bakery". I'm not a real wrench but I know one when I see one. Guess I'll have to read my shop manual out to figure out what you are telling me.
I know it's a Harley. I know v-twins shake and I know about the rubber-mount explanation, but ...... Took a ride this weekend with 5 other touring Harleys - a good assortment of Ultras and Street Glides, some with old the frame and some with the new frame. Idling at stoplights I noticed that my 09 Ultra was the only one with shaking handlebars. Mine smooths right out at speed, but compared to the others in our group, at idle my bike looks and feels like a cement mixer. Is there any sort of motor mount adjustment or handlebar clamp that I should be looking at or are the stock mounts just something that need to be replaced periodically? Or do I just have one of those bikes that shake a lot?
Sounds like riser bushings are worn if its just in the bars... Vibration is part of a bike though Dude... Being it's a 09, I don't think you have a problem at all.. It's just called "*****".. your ride is just ready to rip...

You'll need some sort of tuner for that (TTS, SERT, etc).

I went with the Stage1 A/C, FuelMoto Dyno-tuned Slip-ons and the Harley download. I figured I'd only get myself in over my head with a SERT, SEPST, Thunderheader, etc.
