stock mufflers taken off an 07 SG $10 plus shipping from 30281 ---going in the trash Monday
I would keep them if I were you. The EPA types are getting their noses bent out of shape. Some day in the not to distant future you may have to put them back on,, at least to pass inspection.
Them EPA boys show up around here, we'll be riding the coulees and the ridges rounding em up, drag em around a little bit behind the horses, puttin em in cattle cars and shippin em off to Hillary's state.

Hey Sled,
Have you noticed the posters at the dealers? You know the ones with exhaust pipes tied in a knot. I think the law reads any modification of an exhaust or intake is punishable by a $10,000 per incident. For now it is like a lot of other laws, it's just not enforced. However, if they get a wild hair some day it could be bad news. That's why I kept the stock slip ons on my bike and the wifes Softail... Just in case.
Yeah, it truly may become a big deal.. Hell, they regulate lawn mowers now!
Some States, mine included, have zero testing on cars, the only requirement is that when new they have to comply with feds. The Environmental ***** Agency boys do sneak into the State and will try to trick an auto repair shop into removing a cat converter, etc. from a car so they can fine em some serious bucks. This is a VERY conservative state though, and the EPA boys only work over companies & industries... couple of instances of their messing with individual CITIZENS have resulted in pushback by our legislators (who carry!LOL) & state regulators.
But, guess we know where it's all heading...[&o]
Until then, RIDE!!!

Don't worry Bountyhunter,
Canadian customs agents are the sharpest around.... they'd never let undocumented livestock (EPA inspector boys) into your country

Throw them off a cliff, into oblivion....not worth the effort and expense ship!
Keep 'em just in case. Think about it. If annual inspection requires stock dB levels and you have to buy new stock mufflers for $$$, you'll kick yourself.
