I don't care for some of their designs, but some of their other stuff I have bought and have never had a problem with it. And for you people that say it is crap made in China.......

No kidding about the china thing. Lots of HD parts come from China. Regarding Kuryakyn, I have purchased a fair amount from them. Some items are very good while some are in fact cheap junk, ie; windshield trim is plastic and cost $ 75.00. I would think they would replace your item without question. I mean what would it have really cost them since they are charging a 100% markup so half your cost plus it would be good customer service. Too bad, this kind of press is no good for any company. They didn't same a dime and lost a few customers over it as well I am sure.

Not meaning to highjack the thread, but Kuryakyn is an American company created by Tom Rudd (same guy who established Drag Specialties) and Pat Furlong. Kuryakyn was sold to Motorsports Aftermarket Group which also owns Vance and Hines, Progressive Suspension, Mustang Motorcycle Seats, Performance Machine, Renthal, and others. Just FYI.

Yukon42;
That is very interesting information. I check it out and you are right.
http://www.maggroup.com/magcompanies/index.asp

There are very few 100% American companies anymore and most have their products or part of them are made in China. Kuryakyn is no exception. Anyone who thinks our beloved Harley's are 100% American made is wrong. The world changed!!

I have bad news for you. I have the Genuine HD 360 degree mount kit for my highway pegs. It's the exact same kit as in your picture.

Dammit!!! You just derailed the entire thread. Here I was thinking the only stuff I was going to have to take off my bike was the "cheap Chinese crap" Kuryakyn stuff. Now I gotta go out to the garage and strip my entire machine.

Grips, pegs, LED headlight, turn signal bar, windshield (Kuryakyn)
Pipes and mufflers (Vance and Hines)
Shocks (Progressive)
Seat (Mustang)
Bars (Renthal)
Wheel, rotors, brake calipers, hand controls, and air cleaner (Performance Machine)

You know........ The guilty by association thing.

When finished I will have only a frame to ride. I guess I will just put it up on the jack, put a pillow where the seat used to be, turn a fan on high aimed at my face, sit on it and make motorcycle noises. VaRoooom VaRoooom.

I sure wish that damn turn signal lense wouldn't have fell off. I would still have a bike to ride. But, boy did show them!!!

Disclaimer............. This post was created for dramamtic effect only. I have none of the aforementioned aftermarket parts and acessories on my bike. Therfore it is still in one piece and I'll be out riding.

not bad news for me, i got the long angled kit and it is much better than the kury kit (or the 360). had my ighway peg kit for about 4 years now, and no issues with it.

thats also why i said in another post i would never knowingly buy any kury. i realize they make other stuff and rebadge it for hd.

I just personally don't like many of their products. A little guady for me. But that's just me. I like understated and simple. I can't knock their products because I don't (knowingly) own any. Too bad to hear the bad luck.

I like my KURY stuff! Ordered the wrong pegs one time & they took 'em back & sent me the right ones without any hassles - bought from Kury site. I've also dealt with American Classic Motors and have NEVER had any problems with them. Granted, they're only about a 3 wood away from me, but still.

Something about OP's story (or this version of it) just doesn't make sense...
