Default Headlight Fuse

Keep blowing the fuse for the lights. After taking everything apart and checking for shorts, loose wires, etc continue to blow them. Everything is good for about 10 minutes of riding before it trips again. Would seem like a short but can't find anything. The volt gauge is almost pegged to 16 volts too. Besides the obvious short issue (which is likely the real cause) anyone have any ideas of any other electrical components that might be causing the problem?

I would investigate that pegged 16 volts thing. Could be Regulator or Stator.

I would use the volt indicator as a rough guide at best. A Multimeter is essential for more accurate measurements. Try with and without the bike running first before diving in to something that could almost certainly be a red herring
