if your on nas1 or nas2 the dealer is 25 minutes away.
Before I came out here I had checked using the Dealer Locater and the only one in Italy was up towards Naples. I just tried checking again and it isn't showing any in Italy at all.

do a google search for HD Catania, Sicily and you will get the site. Map and all. Go to Military Car Sales on nas II next to the flight line clinic and see Mr. Gee. He will help you out. There is a guy named Bob that we take our rides to also up past Motta. Lots of HD riders on base and a bunch of good guys.
there used to be three dealers on the island but the one to the north and south of us closed down the only one left is in Catania and it's not closing down any time soon. It's a great dealership.

You just put a GIANT smile on my face. So happy that we have a dealer here. I wish that was reflected on the HD website. You are awesome. From what I have read, Gee is the Local HOG Chapter President. If it still exists. They got rid of their facebook page.
I've had to ship a bike to or from Germany 5 times and always dreaded it; I'd take a random night time rocket attack to shipping a bike through military contractors anyday!
Two BMW's and one Roadking. One BMW was leaning up inside the crate when it got to me, they had tied it down all phucked up. One move from Germany was one young german dude in charge of five 19 year old russian boys. I seem to have lost some jewelry on that move
5 long tours in Germany, always something lost or broke but I worried about the bikes the most.
But driving the alps made it all worth while
Good luck on getting it all fixed up and have a good tour
Glad to see you're getting closer to fixing bike shipping damage. Co-worker received his in Korea & tank looked like crushed beer can...strapped chains over & down. Needless to say - not too pleased.

Are you kidding me??? How stupid can people be? It's not that hard to strap a bike down. I've only done it once and that was to a trailer going from VA Beach to Key West. The only problem I had was a couple light lenses popped off. Couldn't really do much to prevent that. I bought new ones in Miami and when I trailered it back to VA I took them off for the ride home. To bad my truck had issues instead.... LOL
The shipping company will have to take care of it. But who knows how long that will take or if the job will be done right. The closest Harley dealership is 9hrs away. I would have to leave it for however long and get a ride back. Most people wouldn't want to go up there at $10+ a gallon of gas. Will probably make them pay me and just leave it be till I come home in 3 years. BUT I know me... I hate having a damaged vehicle.... especially one that is only a couple months old.
Hey, gas is indeed $10+ a gallon but only for us civilians, you should be entitled to gas and oil coupons so it wouldn't be that bad.I had my Ultra and a Road King shipped over in a shared container and they arrived in the same condition they left the US.But I think it's only a matter of luck, anyway welcome and enjoy Sicily and if you happen to ride north to Rome beer is on me (O'Doul's).
