Low beam. One of my peeves is people with high beams on during daylight. I can't stand the glare when someone is coming at me, I won't do that to anyone else.
I agree with what you say, but then again it's these same idiots who turn in front of you and KILL you and then say "hey sorry I didn't see him...". So my concern for the bright high beam isn't much cuz it's me they kill when they "don't see" me. If I'm running a bike with a single headlite I run with high beam. Sorry but they'll just have to deal with my little light for a few seconds as I pass by.
On my RK I run with low beam and spots in daytime and at nite. If open road and no oncoming cars of course I run high beam.
The sorry excuse "I didn't see him" has really gotten old. These morons KILL riders because they have their head in the *** basically. So your headlight, however bright, is about the only thing between you and the grave.

I used to run hi beam and it help reduce pone heads from pulling out in front of me or turning left coming toward me. Since I installed the passing lamps 4 years ago, I've had 1, count them, 1 person do that to me. And they were looking right at me when they did it.
