I put in my stereo yesterday. Used the Biketronics kit and everything went smoothly. Just plug and play with zero issues. The whole install took maybe an hour.
Then when I got everything back together again....no low beams. High beams work fine, but no low. So took the fairing apart again, checked the connection and wiring, everything looks fine, connection is fine, but no low beams.
I honestly dont see how the hell I could have messed anything up, as it was literally just plugging in 2 harnesses to hook up the stereo.
I am under warranty, so I can just take it to the Stealer, but it is 2 hours away, so if any of you know what the hell I may have done wrong I would really appreciate the help.
Did you check the bulb? The low beam always burns out first since it's always on, I know it seems funny that it would happen while you had the fairing off, but maybe it was all the jostling around. You can usually see if the filament is broken by looking, mine only last a few years, depends on how much you ride. You can just take the headlight out & check the bulb or verify by using a test light or meter.

+2 on this. Sometimes things decide to break while you're working on the bike, just coincidence. Makes it frustrating trying to decide how you broke it though.
So checking the voltage to the headlight I got nothing, but then the stereo just stopped working. Wont turn on now although it will still eject CDs. I am so frustrated and angry right now.
Ok, got the stereo going again. Tripped the radio fuse. Still no luck with the headlight though. Anyone know a good way to test the connector going into the headlamp? I used a multimeter, but I wasn't able to get any reading from it at all, even with the brights on, which do work.
