Well I gotta chime in on this one, I was nervous of ordering the Thunder max auto tune But after reading the comments here, I think I made the right decision.
Parts should all be here in a week; can't wait now.
The only think would be how to adjust the A/F for economy??
Would it just be around the 2800 to 3000 rmp range a guy would lean it out a bit?
You tube is another great place to find info on this stuff as well.
I had the PCV and Auto tune on my Dyna for just over a year. It is a nice system and is worth the money IMO. I changed cams a few times and every canned map I tried, whether from Powercommander or others, the auto-tune always made alot of adjustments. You can also changed the tables in the auto tune to lean things up in certain areas. It defaults at 13.2 in the lower rpms up to apprx 2000 rpms then leans out to 13.7 in the cruise range, then tapers down to 13 in W.O.T. I always got in the mid 40 mpg with that set up. My bike ran nice and cool.
It has a max amount of change percentage at 20%. Once you ride for awhile and get the adjustments to very low changes you can change it to 5% just for minor adjustments while you are riding.
I believe iclick is running the Power Vision. Iclick corrected me in the past and let me know there is a difference between the Auto tune / PCV set up and the Power Vision. I'm referring to the auto tune that Piggy backs the PCV. Man this crap is confusing! I could fine tune any carb to run as nicely as I wanted.
I believe iclick ran the PCV-AT set up for quite a long time and was very happy with it. From reading most of his posts, I think he is the type of guy who loves to tinker with his bike so ended up installing the Power Vision.
If an auto tune is added, do you have to log into the PCV and change the original map or set up the PCV to accept the auto tune device? Also, once the auto tune runs and logs info, is it automatically loaded on the PCV or do you have to go in and load it?

Once the AT is installed, you do not need to change the original map but you do need need to enable the AT within the PCV software.
The adjustments (trims) made by the AT are not automatically loaded and do not change the current map, although they (the trims values) can be permanently programmed into the map within the PCV software.
I've got this set-up on my 2011 Limited and I'm very happy with it.
Thanks for the info. So one does still have to go to the lap top and load the changes made by the auto tune device, into the PCV? I've never logged into the PCV, basically because I don't know how to yet. However, I will need to figure it out because I need to add some fuel to help get rid of the decel popping. I am also going to change my Vance and Hines Pro Pipe out for my stock 2-1 head pipe with the cat removed and some other yet to be determined performance muffler. I'm not sure that the map needs to be changed by going from one 2-1 free breathing exhaust system to another 2-1. That's a question I'm going to pose to Jamie.

Call up the guys at Fuel Moto. They are always willing to talk and they specialize in tuning using the PCV, AT modules, and the new Power Vision. They are a wealth of information and will walk you though any installation; tuners, pipes, cams, etc.
I like the fact that the Power Vision plugs into the stock diagnostics port and "flashes" your ECM. It can be installed on the bike for auto tuning or removed. It also keeps your stock tune in memory for future use if needed.
I am using a local guy that gets his programs directly from Delphi. The bike will be tuned after cams, pipes, cleaner is on the bike and will be done on a dyno.
