So are the new owners not honoring warranty on any of the previously sold boots? I have a pair of the original ones that were made in Canada under the first owners of the company.
Beth & Allen Veach
The last owners had moved manufacturing to the Dominican Republic that in itself was enough to keep me from them again.
But it looks like the new owners have brought the manufacturing back stateside to Weinbrenner Shoe Company http://weinbrennerusa.com/
As far as I'm concerned, the Ecco Track V is the best boot you can buy. Practically indestructible, but yet flexible enough to walk around in. These are not specifically motorcycle boots, but they are the absolute best I've found.
Thanks for your many responses. I now have a whole bunch of options to choose from that I was not previously aware of. It's interesting to see that HD boots are in the minority. I would have thought they had a larger market share, just goes to show there are a lot of very smart consumers out there! LOL!
Just picked up a new pair of HD Riddick boots....has a vent with a zipper on the side. VERY lightweight....I wore them all day today and they are comfortable so far.....good luck with the choice............
Would like to hear what boots you are wearing. I had a pair of Cruiserworks waterproof "classic" boots but with hardly any wear at all, the sole cracked and the original owners (Jay & Cara) claimed bankruptcy so I'm screwed.
I have an old pair of Harley harness boots but they are heavy and uncomfortable. I've recently considered buying a pair of Harley's "Renzo" boot.
Any opinions?
I can tell you what not to wear. all the rage now are the MBT, Sketcher, rocker sole shoes. a few months ago my MBTs put me down. I am used to having the tall heels on my several pairs of HD boots. i was in a gas station driveway that tapered sharply down hill to my right. i had to stop and when i did the RK tipped more than i expected and when I put my foot down the heel I was used to wasn't the so I fell. the shoes are great for walking and very easy on your knees but be cautious riding your scoot.
